We use the term "integrative" to describe a holistic approach to psychiatric care that draws upon conventional Western and complementary therapies.  During our comprehensive evaluation that explores possible biological, lifestyle, psychological, and environmental contributions to symptoms, we work with clients to develop an integrated treatment plan drawing upon our specialties in psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, herbal medicines, and mindfulness-based approaches. In our view, "integrative psychiatry" also carries with it the core values of compassion, humility, receptivity, and curiosity.

Innumerable research studies highlight the ways in which psyche (mind) and soma (body) are connected neurologically, hormonally, immunologically, and otherwise.  We aim to help people develop greater awareness of the ways in which their minds and bodies relate to one another, thereby improving all aspects of their health.
